DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
  • Coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring proper documentation and accurate placement
  • Manage inventory and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
  • Support the development and implementation of warehouse procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and safety
  • Guide and train warehouse staff to perform their tasks correctly and comply with safety procedures •
  • Oversee the distribution and shipping process to customers or stores, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations during storage and transportation of goods
  • Coordinate and perform regular quality checks to ensure products are stored in good condition and ready for dispatch
  • Supervise and log the execution of orders and track daily team performance
  • Analyze warehouse performance and report findings to upper management, suggesting improvements in storage and handling procedures
  • Manage and identify needs for equipment or infrastructure upgrades within the warehouse
  • Supervise and monitor the proper operation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and team usage
  • Monitor and resolve issues arising during storage and shipping processes, in collaboration with other departments
  • Ensure proper implementation of inventory control policies, including regular stocktaking procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment to ensure staff safety and process efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in a warehouse or storekeeper position, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team for high performance and efficiency
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to handle unforeseen situations with calmness and efficiency
  • Solid knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant tools (e.g., SAP, ERP)
  • Effective time management and the ability to schedule and oversee daily warehouse activities
  • Deep understanding and implementation of workplace health and safety policies
  • Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken
  • Ability to professionally handle complaints and collaborate across departments to achieve organizational goals
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement of warehouse processes
